On 28th September 2024, St. Joseph’s College, Hunsur proudly hosted the District Level Throw Ball Competition. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges across the district, showcasing the talent and sportsmanship of the players. The highlight of the day was the exceptional performance of our college girls’ throw ball team, which emerged victorious and qualified for the State Level Competition.
The inauguration of the event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including:
- Sr. Philomena Noronha, Coordinator for Education, UFES
- Sr. Bindu Elizabeth, Coordinator for Education UFES, Mysore Province
- Sr Anitha D Souza, the Principal of St. Joseph’s College, along with other dignitaries and college principals.
The event commenced with a formal opening ceremony, where Sr. Philomena Noronha delivered an inspiring speech emphasizing the importance of sports in fostering teamwork, discipline, and personal growth. She encouraged all participants to play with integrity and sportsmanship.
