International Yoga Day Celebration
International Yoga Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at St. Joseph’s Pre-University College, Hunsur on 20th June. The programme aimed to create awareness among students and staff about the importance of yoga in maintaining physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
The event was graced by the presence of Vice Principal Sister Iren Savitha Martis, along with all the faculty members of the college. Their participation and encouragement added significance to the celebration.
The yoga session was led by Mr. Prasad, Physical Education Lecturer (P.E.T), who guided the participants through various yoga postures, breathing exercises, and meditation techniques. He explained the benefits of regular yoga practice and highlighted its role in promoting a healthy and balanced lifestyle.
Students and staff actively participated in the session and performed different asanas with dedication and enthusiasm. The programme created a positive atmosphere and inspired everyone to incorporate yoga into their daily routine.
The celebration concluded with a message emphasizing the importance of yoga as a means to achieve harmony between mind and body. The event was a meaningful and successful observance of International Yoga Day, fostering awareness about health, fitness, and well-being among the college community.
