St. Joseph’s PU College, Hunsur, marked Children’s Day 2025 with an unforgettable celebration filled with enthusiasm, inspiration, and spectacular faculty performances. The day was dedicated entirely to honoring our students, recognizing their achievements, and fostering a spirit of fun and camaraderie.
- A Traditional and Inspiring Commencement
The day began on a solemn note with the Prayer Song, followed by a heartfelt Welcome Speech setting the tone for the festivities. The ceremony was formally inaugurated with the symbolic Lighting of the Lamp. The stage then welcomed our special guests, Principal Sr. Anita Dias and Vice Principal Sr. Irene Savetha Martize, Captain Abhishake .C, whose inspiring address motivated students to pursue their dreams with discipline and passion. This was followed by an encouraging address from Lecturer Vijay Kumar.
- Faculty Fun and Flair Steal the Show
A major highlight of the day was the enthusiastic participation of the staff. Breaking away from their regular duties, the Gents Staff and the Ladies Faculty (including the office staff) delivered two memorable dance performances. The effort and coordination from the faculty truly delighted the students, proving that learning and fun go hand-in-hand!
- Celebrating Excellence and Good Fortune
The recognition segment honored students across academics and co-curricular activities. Prizes were distributed to the Midterm Toppers for their commitment to academic excellence. Recognition was also given to the dedicated members of the Eco Club and English Club.
In a lighter segment, the Lucky Game Prize Distribution brought smiles and cheers, with class teachers conducting the fun in their respective classrooms.
- A Heartfelt Conclusion
The faculty conveyed their warmest wishes through a special Wishing Song, a loving dedication to the students. The event culminated with the Presidential Address by Sr. Anitha Dias, who congratulated the students on their participation and encouraged them to be responsible citizens. The Vote of Thanks, delivered by Computer Science Lecturer Sudarshan, offered gratitude to all participants, staff, and students. Finally, the ceremony concluded on a proud note with the singing of the College Anthem.
